Project Outline: A Kustom Force Field Generator for an Ork Deff Dread - designed for use in Apocalypse games.

Here's the Force Field Generator all converted up before the primer coat.

The primary field emitter on the top is a plexiglass ball that I had lying around my bitz box. I used used small circles of plasticard to give some detail to the sphere.

I think it kinda makes it look like a sea mine :-)

I drilled a hole in it and used brass rod and styrene tubing to mount it on top of another random bit I had in my bitz box.

For the secondary emitter, I used the top of a Tau Drone mounted in the same way, but at an angle.

Here's a shot from the side, giving a better view of the Tau Drone.

I also used the tip of a Tau Plasma Rifle as a small doodad on the side of the generator.

The 1/16" brass rod sticking out the bottom will be used to mount the generator into a hole drilled in the top rear of a Deff Dread.

I used some small gauge electrical wire to make some power cables running from the main generator housing to the two field emitters.

And a scale shot next to a Deff Dread, to give a sense of the size.

At this point, the generator is pretty much done and ready for primer.
