Missions

Playing a game in the Battle for San Francisco campaign is just like any other game of 40K, but with a couple of twists. First we are using the rules from the Cities of Death supplement. Most games will be on tables with urban terrain, with a few exceptions.

Missions for campaign games will be determined using the tables below, which are roughly equivalent to those found in Cities of Death and the 40k Rulebook. Missions fought in urban areas will use the Urban Table. The Standard Table is for use in undeveloped areas, such as Golden Gate Park, and will use the standard 40k rules. All missions in the Battle of San Francisco will be Gamma level missions, meaning that any Cities of Death missions will use TWO Stratagems.

There may also be some 'special missions' in the campaign, more information on these misisons will be available at a later date.

NOTE: If a player already controls the location where the battle is taking place (i.e. another player is attacking you), the defending player may opt that the RELIEF FORCE mission be played, with the intruding player as the attacker. (see CoD pg. 49 for Mission details). This rule only applies when defending an urban area. Undeveloped areas such as Golden Gate Park and Twin Peaks have no defensible structures to speak of, and are thus harder to hold. Use the Standard Mission table as normal.
